Your return ticket must meet the applicable departure limit. Keep an entry-and-exit record if making several visits, and ask the authority about any ambiguous field before travelling.

The tourist eVisa used for Umrah

Visit Saudi’s terms describe one-year validity, multiple entries unless the issued document states otherwise, and a maximum stay of three months. They also state that the eVisa cannot be extended. The Ministry’s tourist regulation describes the multiple-entry stay limit as applying during the visa’s validity period: do not assume a fresh allowance after every border crossing.

The tourist eVisa may cover Umrah, but not Hajj, and seasonal restrictions still apply. Use the passport linked to the visa and carry a copy at the first arrival. Read the days and conditions recorded for your visa; “three months” in general wording is not a licence to choose a convenient day count.

Dedicated Umrah visas have their own conditions

Do not treat every visa described as “for Umrah” as the tourist eVisa. Check whether the document is a dedicated single-entry or multiple-entry product, its entry deadline and its permitted stay. No single “90 days” slogan answers all those questions.

The Pilgrim Experience Program’s announcement of 20 July 2026 describes a multiple-entry Umrah visa valid for 365 days with up to 90 days cumulatively. Each visit requires an approved Nusuk service package and a permit before arrival. The visa is deactivated on departure and requires reactivation for the next visit under the stated rules. Check current seasonal activation restrictions as well. This is not automatic, unrestricted re-entry for a year.

Read the document in five checks

First confirm the passport identity, then the visa category, entry allowance, validity or entry deadline and duration of stay. Look for additional conditions or an official status record that affects use. Our visa verification guide explains the identity checks.

Use explicit dates when discussing the record with an airline or support service. Do not add 90 days to the email date and assume the result is your permitted departure. If the visa uses a calendar or wording you do not understand, obtain clarification rather than relying on an automatic date conversion.

Three examples that show the difference

A two-week trip on a valid multiple-entry visa: a later visit may be possible, but only while the visa and all conditions remain satisfied, including any cumulative allowance and product-specific activation rules.

A side trip on a single-entry visa: leaving Saudi Arabia uses the entry already made. Remaining printed validity does not automatically allow another entry after visiting a neighbouring country.

A passport replaced after issuance: an unexpired date does not solve the mismatch. Visit Saudi requires the same passport used for the application; obtain official instructions before assuming an old and new passport can be presented together.

Avoid planning at the expiry boundary

Do not assume arrival just before the entry deadline automatically permits the full headline stay beyond every other limit. Confirm how the category and issued conditions interact, and leave a practical margin for delays.

If your itinerary risks exceeding a limit, contact the responsible authority before that occurs rather than relying on a last-minute border crossing or an unsupported extension claim. Overstay can have legal consequences. A generic article cannot determine your individual final lawful departure date.

Check an existing visa before paying for another

Use the original official channel to check whether a current visa already covers the trip. KSA Visa’s FAQ says a further tourist-visa application follows expiry of the existing tourist visa; unresolved errors or category changes need official instructions.

Do not submit duplicate applications to try to reset a stay allowance. Consult the application timeline and duplicate application guidance before paying again. Keep the whole record, including earlier visits and support replies.
