Eligible passport holders can use the Saudi eVisa portal directly. Help from an intermediary may be useful if you need digital assistance or have particular circumstances, but its work and fee should be clearly described. Living in an eligible country does not automatically make every resident eligible through the same route.

What “visa-only” may actually mean

The seller might review documents, enter information into an official portal, arrange an Umrah visit visa through an authorised channel or include insurance. These are different services, not interchangeable descriptions of the same product.

Ask for five details: the precise visa category, issuing authority, validity and permitted entries on the issued document, included services, and the legal identity of the business receiving payment. A marketing label such as “Umrah visa” is not enough to establish the actual category or conditions.

Official application channels in 2026

Use the Saudi eVisa portal or official Nusuk Umrah information to identify the route applicable to you, including authorised service providers where relevant. A visa and an Umrah permit are different documents; check the current Nusuk permit procedure separately.

The eVisa nationality list includes the UK, Canada, US and numerous European countries. Verify the passport you will use, rather than assuming all European nationalities or all residents qualify identically. The portal describes one-year validity, normally multiple entries and a maximum stay of three months, subject to the issued visa and applicable conditions. Validity is not permission to remain for a year or an entitlement to perform Hajj.

Fees: require an itemised quote

The applicable official fee is displayed during the application and may change. Ask the agency to separate visa charges, insurance, technical charges if any, taxes and its own service fee. Compare like-for-like work rather than only the final total.

Specify the payment currency: SAR, GBP, EUR, CAD and USD are not interchangeable, and “dollars” is ambiguous. Check your payment provider’s conversion and fees; do not rely on an old exchange rate.

There is no single official worldwide agency-service tariff. A price displayed for a different visa category or application channel may not apply to your case. Obtain the final breakdown before authorising submission and payment.

Protect documents and personal data

Send only necessary documents through a secure channel. Personally check your name, passport number and expiry date. The eVisa terms require at least six months of passport validity from entry; also check the rules relevant to your route, passport and transit countries.

Use an email address and telephone number you control wherever the portal allows. Keep the application reference, invoice, payment receipt, submitted details and final visa document. Do not give the agent your email password. If someone is applying for you, confirm exactly what they are authorised to do and how you will retrieve the result.

Refusal, errors and refunds

The Saudi eVisa terms say a submitted application cannot be cancelled or refunded, including when unsuccessful. An intermediary should explain separately what happens to its own fee. Do not assume a promise of “support” means reimbursement after refusal.

Review every field before submission. After issue, check identity, passport details, category, dates, entries and conditions before using the document. If it has not arrived, use the reference and the official support or retrieval process; do not make a duplicate paid application just because an email is delayed.

When to reject the offer

Pause if the seller guarantees approval, refuses to identify the portal, requests an unexplained personal-bank transfer, withholds the reference or prevents access to your document. Payment does not guarantee approval, and a visa does not guarantee admission at the border.

Check the business and the rules applicable to the service sold. A visa-assistance purchase is not automatically an ATOL-protected holiday or a regulated travel package.
