Dual nationals should choose the passport used for the Saudi application and keep the Saudi entry record consistent with it. Check separately whether home-country rules require another passport for departure or return. A last-minute substitution at check-in can create a mismatch with the visa.
A residence permit and a visit visa are different
The Ministry’s regulation distinguishes permanent residence from a qualifying tourist or business visa. For the latter route, the cited rule includes prior use to enter the issuing country. A student or work visa must not simply be relabelled as a visitor visa to fit a form.
Record the issuing country, exact document title, status, dates and, where relevant, visa category and evidence of prior use. Current electronic-status systems may require specific proof; do not invent a visa number from a share code or screenshot. Ask the authority and airline what they accept. Why the airline check matters

A different passport does not automatically inherit the first passport’s records. Ask about any renewal and linked visa or residence status in advance. Do not rely on presenting two documents together unless the relevant authorities and carrier accept that arrangement.
