Distinguish limited availability from a technical problem

If the calendar opens but shows no times, places may be fully booked or not yet released for that period. If the service is missing, your profile is not recognised or the app keeps looping, check the app version, connection and identity details instead.

Start by checking your Nusuk account and the Rawdah booking process. Do not delete your account simply because no places are available: you could create a duplicate.

Widen your dates without disrupting your trip

Check the days when you will actually be in Madinah, and consider different times offered by the app. Allow enough time after your train arrives, around hotel check-in and before departure. A slot immediately after a flight or transfer leaves little room for delays.

For long-haul arrivals from North America, allow for fatigue as well as travel delays. Do not change a non-refundable ticket because you briefly saw an unconfirmed slot. Only an issued permit in your account confirms the booking.

Check again at sensible intervals

The official sources reviewed for this guide do not establish a universal time when appointments are released. Check the app periodically as your stay approaches, without using bots, scripts or third-party services that ask for your login details. Cancellations may free up places, but there is no guaranteed release pattern.

Update Nusuk and try a stable internet connection. If you are travelling as a family or group, do not assume separate appointments will automatically allow everyone to enter together.

Understand instant access

The Ministry’s UK pilgrim handbook describes an instant-access feature when available. This does not mean it is permanent or guaranteed for your visit. Use it only if it appears in your own Nusuk app, and follow the conditions displayed.

Being near the mosque does not replace a permit. Do not join a queue or approach an entrance solely because an old video suggests you can.

Do not pay a slot seller, share your password or verification code, or use someone else’s passport. Treat screenshots without an active permit with caution: they may be expired, altered or linked to a different person.

If the problem is clearly technical, use the support channel shown in the app or its official store listing. Keep screenshots of the error, but redact personal information before sharing them with anyone other than the relevant official support service.

If no appointment appears before you leave

A visit to Madinah and prayer at the Prophet’s Mosque are not limited to the Rawdah. Plan your stay without promising access that depends on capacity. Continue checking official channels, but resist pressure and unauthorised alternatives.
